A certificate of analysis (COA) is one of the most useful documents a laboratory can keep with research peptide inventory. It connects a specific batch to measured identity and purity data from testing — ideally performed by an independent lab.
When reviewing a COA, researchers commonly check the compound name, batch or lot number, test methods (such as HPLC), reported purity, and the testing date. Those fields help confirm that the vial on the bench matches the paperwork in the file.
